quality service to all it's customers.We are a company which is very much participant-led and deliver a professional service
in an innovative, friendly, down to earth manner.
In House Provision
The occupational areas offered will be General Clerical Skills. Working within a realistic
office environment, individuals will have the opportunity to become familiar with the equipment, the various computer packages
available, and experience the various other skills required.
Assisting the office team in a variety of roles may be beneficial, to those individuals who require confidence
building, Systematic
Instruction, or to experience the demands of the Work Ethic.
The
In-House Provision will be used as a stepping stone to a commercial employer during their Work Preparation programme.
Employer
Placement
Participants
shall have opportunities for work experience in various occupational areas depending on the objectives on their Action Plan.
e.g. Catering, Joinery, Clerical, Stores, Light Assembly, Production, Retail, Gardening, Care, Factory
work etc.
These may change from time
to time as dictated by local labour market demands.
Job Search
Is
ongoing throughout the programme. The job search activity will be carried out in many different and practical
ways. To ensure that each individual benefits fully from the activity it will be both realistic, relevant to
the individuals needs and those of the local labour market.
Included will be C.V. preparation, Interview Skills, visits to/from employers, knowledge
of employment market. Information gathered via Internet, newspapers and local Jobcentres.
Use of computer, telephone, newspapers etc.
Provide stamps, stationery
etc.
One-to-One support always available
Counselling
All counselling is carried out in a supportive
non-judgemental professional manner, by trained counsellors. Taking the first steps towards employment can be traumatic for
participants.
It can
mean a change of role within the home, where they have taken on extra commitments regarding care for the children, an elderly
relative or general housekeeping. These sessions are designed to help participants to cope with the transition from unemployment
to work activity and can either be group sessions or one to one.

Progress will be reviewed weekly with their Development Officer. Disability Employment Advisors and Personal Advisors
have an open invitiation to visit their customers on the Work Preparation Programme.
